2. um...your answers are backward from the title question.
I don't watch TV (Netflix only) so I'm essentially banning everything.

5. You should edit your question and answers to make it clearer
Edited on Thu Sep-21-06 09:09 PM by Eric J in MN
...what people who have "locked" ABC should vote for.

Maybe change the question to "Do you watch ABC?"

6. You ask two questions.
I boycott them always. I also boycott Coca cola. I do not buy Minute Maid products. Killer Coke, drink of the death squads.

7. I never claimed I would. I didn't and don't think it will matter.
Especially since Clinton apparently doesn't give a crap about that movie that started this.

10. ABC television broadcast right-wing propaganda commercial-free
...for 5 hours recently. The drama is called "The Path to 9/11."

13. ABC, Never Again, EVER, Unless . . .
Bill, Medeline, Sandy, and Richard take it over, or Willie Nelson.

14. they be gone...
the list is getting longer, but I don't miss one of them. It's surprisingly easy for me to avoid supporting enablers to things I detest.

16. Your poll wording is a little bit confusing.
I'm assuming that the last option means that you are boycotting ABC/Disney. (I am, until the media conglomerates are broken up.)

17. It's a useless boycott
Not watching ABC is useless because only the Nielson subjects are counted. Boycotting Disney is useless because only a few people will do it, and most of Disney's "demand" comes from children, anyway.

If you want to "send a message", look at the list of advertisers. Find the one with the most RW agenda, which is also economically vulnerable. Hit that one hard. Yes, single it out, and rip a chunk out of it. That will send a real good message, and in a short time.

Remember, Cesar Chavez didn't ask us to boycott every damn vegetable raised in California -- just lettuce and grapes. And it worked.

If you want to hit ABC and Disney directly, there's a perfectly good way to do so -- demonstration. But boycotts are ineffective against entertainment conglomerates. The high-profile stuff is what works in those cases.

You may also want to consider that The Path To 9-11 is even in disrepute among most conservatives (i.e., most of them except for the Freepers an L-Dotters and other crazies). It is, and will remain, a major embarrassment for them. Building on that will have long-term value for us; we can cite it as right wing media bias any time the "libbrulmediabias" canard is flown.

So stop wasting your time -- fight smart! Watch what you want, but find a product we can boycott and a company we can hurt. And perhaps a few pickets at Disneyworld might be a good idea, too.
