I have been questioning for several months the motive for breaking our military. It is becoming obvious now what that motive is. Our military is to defend us from enemies foreign or domestic. It has long been believed that our military and the CIA was designed with a counter force to defend us against a President who may get into power and attempt to take over the country. We all know or at least suspect that section of the CIA was terminated upon the election of Bush. How would one go about terminating a threat from our military forces if they wanted to take over the country? If the military realized what has occurred in DC, they would come back home to defend us against our oppressor, right? But not if our military is broken. If all the reports coming back from Iraq and the rumours of going into other countries are true, it is just a matter of time before that has occurred.
The tide has turned here in the States. Republicans are turning their backs on this administration in record numbers. Many, like many here at DU see the writing on the wall. More and more newscasters every day are coming out against the administration. More and more are writing or talking about the truth instead of giving it that silver lined spin we have witnessed these past years.
If the true numbers are counted in November, the tide will turn in the Congress. More and more reports are being made public in the mainstream news regarding what many here have known regarding our broken election system. Those in office will not let that tide turn in Congress. Those in office will not let our military survive to come to our aid.
At what point does a dictator acknowledge themselves as such? At what point do they stop the facade? Are we nearing that point? What can their next moves be? What should ours be?
