GOP "Rebels"???

Just curious if anyone else has a problem with the MSM using the term "rebels" to describe those GOP Senators who bowed down to Bushie today.

In just about every article I've seen, they are being referred to as "rebels."

If I picked up an article without even knowing anything about the situation, and I saw the word "rebels," that would imply to me that these are folks who went against the grain, who somehow rebelled against the establishment.

That is not what happened here. In fact, just the opposite happened. They caved in.

Am I making muchado about nothing here, or anyone else agree that the term "rebels" is not appropriate?

It's like calling a 70-year old Fortune 500 CEO a rebel because he owns a $30,000 Harley that he rides one day a year.

These guys are trying to save Bush, Rummie, Gonzalez and Yoo and the other zombies from the prospect of war crimes trials. That's what's going on.
