So when MP Prescott said "Bush is Crap", where were all the Dems
renouncing that?

John Prescott has given vent to his private feelings about the Bush presidency, summing up George Bush's administration in a single word: crap.

Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott, seen here in May 2006, has denied a front-page report in a major newspaper that he had called US President George Bush "crap" and "a cowboy".(AFP/File/Odd Andersen)

The Deputy Prime Minister's condemnation of President Bush and his approach to the Middle East could cause a diplomatic row but it will please Labour MPs who are furious about Tony Blair's backing of the United States over the bombing of Lebanon.

Okay, "crap" is much more mild than "devil" and Prescott didn't say this at the UN. But, shouldn't the Dems have said something seeing as how Prescott "attacked" Bush and, indirectly, "attacked Americans"?

1. False Analogy
Prescott didn't say it in the UN, and he isn't a head of state.

I'm not defending Georgie. He's still a lying scum.

But Chavez overplayed his hand, and has a second anal sphincter today to show for it.

2. Prescott said this in private; it just happened to be leaked
So it's not official in the same way.

In any case, I think there's no doubt that Bush's policies ARE crap; but it's more controversial whether he's the devil. Maybe it's Cheney who's the devil...
