If this was already posted today, then pardon me....this article was referred to in a kos diary, so you may have seen it. Focus on the Family has an article in this month's magazine about why WE won't deal with evil. It's quite an eye opener to see how the fringe-right views us:

Pathological liars have less grey matter and more white matter in their prefrontal cortex, according to a report in the October issue of the British Journal of Psychiatry. Gray matter consists of the cells that do the thinking, while white matter consists of the cells that connect them.

6. What a pile of revisionist CRAP!

This garbage reads like a WH press release, "Clinton didn't do a thing against terrorism." It's a slander, a lie, vicious.

The problem is that it might fool the foolish.

There isn't much we can do about it unless the principals start to sue.

7. The difference between us and them:

I love how this article refers to us as "the left". And all they do is attack the left on the justification that we do not know how to identify evil. The underlying difference between us and the fundies is that we recognize that evil is staring us right in the face. It's taken the form of a white American male named George W. Bush. The fundies look to blame everyone else for his mistakes. They really do worship the devil in this case.

That "evil" is a living, breathing entity that you can face up to with a holy weapon in hand and smite.

Those who appreciate fairy tales without believing they're real realize that evil is a behavior that human beings sometimes exhibit, nothing more and (importantly!) nothing less. It needs to be faced on a behavioral basis.

And from a purely tactical standpoint, asking the question "why do they hate us" with regard to 9/11 seems a very prudent thing to do, if you want to predict/prevent such behavior in the future.

But that's just because I don't "recognize" evil.

It's in the last sentence. What does "andthereforewe" mean? Do right-wing, neo-con, Chriso-fascists have trouble with English? Or do they just make up words as they go along. Maybe "andthereforewe" is a written transcription of someone "speaking in tongues?" Or maybe it's some kind of code word...

13. Excuse me, but I think the Congressional Black Caucus recognizes evil

quite well....they've practically been the oracle for this country since the robbery of 2000. No one was listening then, but (slowly) more people are listening now....and they've pretty much been proven right.
