25. Surprise! - S.S. Agents on roofs...
TAMPA - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers welcomed a surprise visitor to practice Thursday.

In Tampa to help raise campaign funds for Republican candidates in Florida, President George W. Bush stopped by the team's new training facility for about 20 minutes. He spoke with several players and threw a football around with Bucs quarterback Chris Simms.

Bush spoke with team captains Mike Alstott, Ronde Barber, Ryan Nece and Derrick Brooks. He also spoke with Bucs coach Jon Gruden and team general manager Bruce Allen whose brother, George Allen, is a Republican Senator from Virginia.

Bush's entourage included Secret Service agents and other security personnel located on roofs and elsewhere.

9. Bush has always supported the real players from the sidelines
... in Vietnam,

in College

in Iraq

Where ever real men and women of action are... George W. Bush will sit on the sidelines and tell them to do better - to make him look good.

29. I know. I know. I had to work. I drove by the stadium (up NDM)
while he was in town. Wooooooo, the security! Reclaimed water trucks blocking the entrance gates, etc. Protesters lined from the Legends Field walkway all the way to the end of the stadium (on the other side of the street, of course). Big signs.

Of all of the teams why does it have to be the one that I care about? I can't imagine that all of the players would be happy to see him. Derrick Brooks seems too smart. Damn. :grr:
