Greg Palast just handed a Republican sack his ass on MSNBC.
The conversation was about Chavez and Palast just blindsided the other guy. I'm pretty sure the Republican had no idea who Palast is because man was he schooled. Palast also pointed out that our last two elections were stolen. Great stuff.

1. Wish I Woulda Seen That....Love GP!!
Thank God he is getting some air time. It seems those cable channels have endless time for "experts" like Ann Coulter telling everyone the wars are going "magnificently" and "swimmingly..." GP knows what he's talking about, he should be on those shows!!

say he was Jewish. A very emotional interview say Wolf. :puke:

8. Transcripts don't go up at MSNBC for 24 hours.
He was schooling a guy named Terry Jeffries I believe. Who is a total talking points Republican. He's on MSNBC quite a bit. Palast pointed out that Chavez is loved the world over and that 90% of the world actually do think Bush is the devil(jokingly spoken). He pointed out that the reason Spain, Italy and now England are tossing out their leaders is because of Bush. He said that Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004 were stolen. He said that Chavez was elected multiple times in a true democracy. He then said the U.S. govenment tried to kill Chavez in 2002. The Republican couldn't make heads or tails of any of it. He resorted to telling Palast he was unpatriotic and that he should find another country to live in. He also said he bets Palast wouldn't actually go to Venezuela and criticize their president. He said Palast would be killed if he did that. Palast just laughed it off and informed him he just got back from Venezuela reporting for the BBC.

21. it WAS awesome.
Basically he informed his numbskull debate opponent that 90% of the world, and also perhaps the majority of Americans, agree with Chavez in his disapproval of Bush. He stated it is common knowledge that Bush stole both of the past two elections.

I was at home watching, just happened to catch it by luck. I actually jumped up from my couch and cheered. It was kinda silly, me at home alone jumping and cheering to the TV, but that's how great it was.

6. I saw it...dang he was good
The other guy was obviously shy on brain-cells and big on talking points. And, as we know, talking points disintegrate when confronted with logical argument. (He was also a bit too high-pitched for my ears).

The issue on Chavez is two-fold for me.
1. The rhetoric of us-versus-them is now world wide and does not do us any good. Bush was just as insulting as Chavez. Both were inappropriate and frankly--grade school. We need someone to take them by the scruff of the necks and make them at like adults. The foreign policy of 6th graders.

2. It shows, as Palast pointed out, that the majority of the world hates Bush--and us. He has destroyed more than our bank account, environment, retirement, access medical insurance, education... He has destroyed our good name in the world.

12. I agree and the BIG STORY should be that the world cheered
I detest our so called pResident and if there is a devil it may as well be him...but with all that said I have to tell you the fact that there was laughter and applause in response to Chavez's remarks sort of sent a chill down my spine yesterday.

I guess the fact that we are so poorly thought of around the world was something I knew, but only in sort of abstract terms.

It's hard to believe that he and his idiots have created this much ill will around the globe in the last 5 years.

30. it was chilling, wasn't it?
The world laughed and applauded as we were made the butt of jokes. They hate us--universally. We have got to get them out of office.

9. Palast saved Chavez life.

When he was on Alex Jones Radio show he mentioned the coup before it happened. And Chavez is still alive

AJ: Seven days before the attempted coup, on the legitimately elected president of Venezuela, you said look for a coup in the next month.

GP: That’s right.

AJ: And the transcript and that audio file are on the selected interview section of infowars.com. Greg, how did you call that one with such precision?

GP: Well, actually, it wasn’t a big guess. I guess, now I can tell you, is that I got a call from, I spoke to the Secretary General of OPEC in Vienna. And he had received, ah, Khadafi had contacted him to threaten a boycott against the United States. Khadafi is no great, wonderful guy. And the head of OPEC reminded him that OPEC has now banned political boycotts. Nevertheless, the word got out to the U.S. And the head of OPEC realized well what can the U.S. do to counter any threat of a boycott or, let’s say, we do invade Iraq, those oil fields will be on fire. Where do you suddenly find an extra million or two million barrels of oil? Our supposed friends, the Saudi Arabians, won’t give us an extra drop if all of our factories start shutting down. They’d be thrilled to see us go under – the Saudis. Where do we get the oil? And the answer would be from Venezuela, which can produce an extra two million barrels of oil at the flip of a switch. And, but there is a fear in the Bush Administration that the president of Venezuela will not go along and give this oil to Exxon, which controls most of the oil in Venezuela.

The 'MISTAKER' has been appropriately dealt with (you may forward all mail to Gitmo). Future interviews will be granted only to supporters of the 'DECIDER'.
