Tony Snow: "The president is not really a legacy guy''

http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/news_theswamp/2006/09/snow_if_we_spin.html#more

<snip>

He says the president is more concerned about the job at hand than how historians may view it.

"The president is not really a legacy guy,'' said Snow, noting that Bush had read three books about George Washington in the last year -- a leader who, 200 years later, "is still subject to reappraisal.''

"The idea that somehow you're going to be able to retire to Crawford and know what your legacy is is pure folly,'' Snow said.

1. I've always said he won't leave a legacy behind, but rather an aftermath.

No need for a legacy if there is no future
Hopefully, the world can survive his presidency so that there is even the option to consider his "legacy."

6. Snowman sounds like he is on the crack pipe, again.
George didn't read 3 books on Washington, stop lying you worthless ham. I can tell you the entire Bush legacy - he will be considered the WORST PRESIDENT IN AMERICAN HISTORY. And Snow, you will be remembered as the worst press secretary to serve under George.

10. the man who ended our empire
the man who was out-maneuvered by OBL, N. Korea, and Iran.

the man who poisoned debate & permanently divided our citizens against each other.

the man who slept while the planet crossed the global heating point of no return.
