1. Crapping in the spinach....

I live in the San Joaquin Valley, and can tell you it's not unkown that field workers (many of whom are sub-contracted day worker aliens who have been hired by the sub-contractor of the sub-contractor to the original contractor), do actually crap and piss in the fields. A friend of mine who owns a nectarine orchard says she likes to take her dog walking through the orchard, (hmmm...dog poo, too??), and always comes across many piles of human waste. Ugh! :puke:

There really is no oversight when it comes to what is happening during the long hours the workers spend in the fields. On any given day, a drive in the country around here, where so much of the land is big agriculture, you usually just see workers' cars parked by the field where they are working. They show up, work the fields, get paid the same day, and return the next to do it all over again.
