"Hugo and Mahmoud make the Dems look bad"
The local radio wingnut talkshow host (a 29%er) is interviewing a wingnut professor and just said, "It's just luck, but just when it looked like the Dems were going to take the House, these two nutcases, Hugo and Mahmoud, come to the U.N. and lash out against (Shrub) and it makes the Dems look bad even if they didn't have anything to do with it."

The prof says, "CHAVEZ, like a clown, a buffoon, while (the Iran dude) is much more sinister, more calculating with his words..."

PLEASE: No "why-do-you-listen-to-this-crap" posts, PLEASE. Thank you.

10. Bryan Kennedy
GO BRYAN KENNEDY WE NEED TO DEFEAT SENSENBRENNER

And after I saw him on C-span last night with the judiciary committee, acting like the a$$
that he is, I want to defeat him even more.
He was so rude to Rep Jackson-Lee

3. I'd say they earned the 'grasping at straws' award for that one...
Especially when you consider that Bush also spoke at the U.N, making Republicans look bad...

(As if Hugo and Mahmoud had anything to do with Dems anyway.)

4. At least he said that those two have nothing to do with us.
I have no doubt that there are plenty of other wingnuts who will try to associate Chavez and Ahmadinejad with Democrats, merely because all are critics of Bush.

7. That's the clumsiest talking point yet.
It will only have life within the 29% bracket anyway. Look at it this way: at least they didn't blame Clinton.

Yet ...

8. So...what?
You agree with them?

Two leaders from foreign countries address the U.N., criticize Bush, and somehow that makes a political party
which has practically nothing to do with either of them "look bad".
That's Chaos Theory at its finest.

Howzat again?

14. Why would you take the leap, "You agree with them?"
You're not impugning a fellow DUer, are you?

12. bush's actions created both. Would Mahmoud be president if bush
hadn't scared the people into the arms of the right wing nationalistics? Would Chavez be as popular as he is if it wasn't for bush?

Iran was slowly moderating. The Imans were losing control of society. Young people were gaining influence. bush changed all that. Nationalism is a natural response to outside threats. Would Chavez have won if American corporate interests hadn't abused the people of Venezuela?

15. So the people who think Bush is a righteous man of God...
Are the same who think Hugo Chavez is a clown. Repubs really do turn things upside down, don't they? I can't help but admire Chavez every time he speaks the harsh truth about the Bush administration.
