It Does Not Cost A Thing To Talk/Listen To Your Enemies...
...the basis of diplomacy is to obtain what you want without having to compromise what is important to you, and avoid the loss of life and resources in the process.

I cannot see how Bush can claim his Administration has pursued the Diplomatic Route when they refuse to talk to Iran.

War should always be a last resort. Diplomacy should always be the first option.

1. It might cost us an enemy.
Then what will we be afraid of?

3. OH yes it does!!! It
may cost you the 'right' to claim ignorance, if you find out 'your' way isn't the only way. It takes patience, humility, tolerance, and the willingness to listen when others talk, as well as to speak with clarity, logic and facts to support your perspective.
You will have to give up some of your self-righteous anger and pride, or at least make you put them on hold for a time.

And it COULD rob you of your denial, and facade.

But the price is well worth it- WELL worth it. What kind of a 'diplomat' or a 'politician' says they are unwilling to dialog with those they have conflict with???

Dictators-
Despots-
Fuhrers-
Tyrants-

Not leaders of Democratic Societies.
