Is it time for C-SPAN to make some changes?
A very intelligent caller this morning suggested that maybe it was time to change the call-in numbers to Democratic and Republican supporters, since George W Bush is not a "political" Party. And he makes absolutely good sense. In their effort, intentional or not, to create a balance in their call ins, they have in effect created a 50/50 division that may be unhealthy for our democracy and debate. One could imagine if Hitler were in power and they divided the line between Hitler supporters and the Republican Party, would that be fair and balanced? It's time that C-SPAN came back to the real world. I don't them to do it but just a thought.

1. Yes, and the commentators call it "The Democrat" vice "The Democrat-IC
Party. What's up with that?

2. It's a very good thought. That has annoyed me for so long.
