A simple word -- long out of use -- which we must now reintroduce:

mutiny

Main Entry: mu·ti·ny ... forcible or passive resistance to lawful authority; especially : concerted revolt (as of a naval crew) against discipline or a superior officer
synonym see REBELLION
http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/mutiny

There is evidence of a slow rolling MUTINY against the Bush Administration:
the CIA refuses (to continue) to violate law by maintaining secret prisons, there are leaks from the upper echelon of the US MIL., outright derision by 5 (!) ex US Joint Chiefs of Staff...and much more.

Mutiny.

Has a nice ring to it.

2. High frigging time!
The military is charged with upholding the constitution, something they've neglected to do since WWII and probably before.

It's high time they started.

3. "Mutiny". I love the sound of it. It has to come from each of us,
every day, everywhere. As we used to say in the sixties: "It is time to throw our bodies onto the gears of the machine"...

7. For those who are under the sway of The Ruling Regime
Edited on Thu Sep-21-06 02:07 PM by genie_weenie
it may regarded as such, but I do not recognize the authority therefore my disobedience is not the *crime* of Mutiny the same way that I could not be charged with Treason. I do not recognize the US Government's claim to power and control over my life.
