UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday signalled a willingness to negotiate as major powers said Tehran had until early October to agree to suspend its nuclear programme.

"Ahmadinejad indicated that Iran is willing to negotiate but there needs to be flexibility on both sides," Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi said in a written statement after meeting Ahmadinejad on the sidelines of a U.N. General Assembly meeting.

Prodi, the first European Union head of government to meet the Iranian leader, later told reporters, "we left each other without any concrete step forward but with, I think, clear ideas on the need for a step forward."

Prodi and European diplomats said divisions remain over a core issue -- what it would mean for Iran to suspend uranium enrichment as demanded by the U.N. Security Council.

2. Remind me again what the U.N. said about IRAQ'S uranium development
program? I don't remember hearing "U.N. Security Council" around the time ass hat was pushing into Iraq.

You know what? The world CAN'T WAIT !!!! It goes from bad to worse here and this administration - or regime needs to GO.

Someone take ass-hat on a long vacation so we can change things when he is gone just like they are doing in Thailand. Give him enough to drink and he won't even notice anything is different when he gets back to fucking Crawford Texas! Paint some clap board movie type buildings of the White House and put him in a round room with a red phone and see if the idiot can tell the difference. I doubt he will. The US can fund a group of secret service actors that can run around and call him "Mr. President" all day and tell him that he is ruling the world. Hell people think that sort of stuff all the time; most often you see them in acute care psychiatric units.

3. I have a sense that the criminal elites...
...who run this would-be empire now realize that they have overreached and are manuevering to cut their losses.

Consider the meeting last night with Ahmedinijad last night at the Council of Foriegn Relations. While the Bush Administration remains publically belicose and continues to shun the Iranian government, the real power in this country is meeting and talking with Iran.

Consider also the Iraq Study Group formed quietly in March. I saw their first press conference the other night on c-span, and they too are engaging in shuttle diplomacy throughout the region to save US face and get us out of the mess the neocons have made.

If there is any sanity left in the American establishment, I think we may be about to witness a retreat/withdrawl/retrenchment from the recent overt grab for global domination post-9-11. I think they know they have to back off and back down, otherwise they risk losing everything, including the very foundation of their power, namely the contining blind consent and support of the American people for their now century-plus-long misrule.

5. Do you mean Lucifer or the pro wrestler
Coz Bush isn't smart enough to be Lucifer and lacks the stage presence to be the wrestler.
