7. What's inaccurate about that cartoon
They didn't just reject qualified Democrats. They rejected experts specifically qualified for those jobs. It boggles the mind to wonder just how they thought this could work out--as with that 24 year old ex campaign volunteer they put in charge of starting up Iraq's stock exchange when he'd never even worked as a stock broker--much less as a stock market officer. He was so busy looking for hi tech gadgets to make the Baghdad stock market "state of the art" that he never bothered to see what would make it appealing to the established traders over there.

It's a sad day in America when Republicans can't even do the free enterprise system right. In Iraq, on the other hand, it's not so much a sad day as a deadly day.

I suppose he could have elaborated more (and he has, if you check his other 'toons and editorials at www.seattlepi.com), but we get the drift here with the second panel.
