If Kinky Friendman starts beating Chris Bell in the polls...

...should Chris drop out and endorse Kinky?

I'm obviously a Chris Bell supporter. I've noticed a lot of people have said that Kinky is a spoiler and he should drop out so that Perry doesn't win. What happens if Kinky starts polling better than Bell though. Kinky would obviously be a better choice than Perry.


What do you guys think?

I'll assume you asked that in all innocence and weren't really trying to be antagonistic & haven't suffered any serious cranial injuries resulting in reduced mental capacity, but that was an awfully, awfully foolish thing to ask around these parts. You must have absolutely NO knowledge whatsoever about Mr. Friedman or Texas politics.

Please educate yourself a bit before asking these type of questions in the future. Friedman is a fool and a blight upon the landscape of the Lonestar State. He is not a Democrat, he is a reactionary rightwing asshole & a racist to boot.

Gubernatorial candidate and professional wiseacre Kinky Friedman was accused Wednesday of making another racially offensive remark _ this time in a year-old interview in which he said sexual predators should be thrown in prison and forced to "listen to a Negro talking to himself."
The independent candidate already was under fire for referring to Hurricane Katrina evacuees in Texas "crackheads and thugs." That remark was taken as a slap at black victims of the storm.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram and the Houston Chronicle have reported on an interview with Friedman that aired on CNBC last year in which the country singer and comedian was asked what to do with sexual predators.

"Throw them in prison and throw away the key and make them listen to a Negro talking to himself," Friedman said. He also called "Negro" a "charming word."

but everyone's ego is going to keep them in the race until the end, and Perry will win with a small plurality.

......of course i would rather see the dem win, but the fact is that right now we need to get repub filth out of the governor's mansion in tx. if kinky polls higher than bell, bell should pull out just like nader should have dropped off the ballot in florida in 2000. why waste money and time if you can't win the election?
