MATTHEWS: Why is he doing it? Why is he trying to track what he picks up in the internet and from the media as the lingo of the left in America, like Moore? Why would he start to talk like Moore? People misunderstood what I said last night. I think he’s getting some advice from people, he’s getting some lingo, some wordage that he hears working in the United States about this thing for war profiteers and he’s jumping on every opportunity. The way he treated Kerry-even if you didn't like Kerry- was disgusting-and his out and out cheerleading-for years now-of George W. Bush should be something he's ashamed of. But he's not. He's saying that no matter what George W. Bush and his corrupt administration have done, you can't mention it, can't question it, because Osama bin Laden knows about it, too?

The bombing of civilian targets, the torture at Abu Ghraib, the warrantless spying on American citizens, are all okey-dokey because those bad actions may only be used by terrorists to bad-mouth the Bush administration, is that it? In other words, all of these illegal acts, war crimes and high crimes and misdemeanors should all be swept under the rug because only Osama bin Laden would think there's something wrong with them. This email addresses not only your remarks comparing Michael Moore (and hence, progressive liberals) to Osama bin Laden but also your quite apparent servitude to the corporate media.

Do you, as well as your staff, remember the moment in time when you sold out? When you decided to pursue fame and fortune over journalism, betraying the principles you were taught while receiving an "education"?

Mr. Matthews, or whomever will filter this email, for years you have been a talking head, hack, lackey, loudspeaker and stenographer for America's Establishment. I hope you feel better knowing you are betraying the American public, along with our fundamental freedom to be told the truth by the likes of you.

You have cheapened discourse in the nation, and have become a poster child with all that is wrong with mainstream, corporate media. Shame on you all for becoming the presstitutes to power, for not standing up to your fellow citizens, and for selling out your soul to the propaganda machine now contaminating the country.

The day you and your kind are off the air will be a day of rejoicing throughout the land.

Before you head off into the sunset, however, how about doing some real journalism? How about covering depleted uranium, and its devastating effects on both Iraqis and our soldiers? How about covering the stolen elections of 2004, which you know was compromised severely? How about covering the nest of neocons inside PNAC and AIPAC, the Office of Special Plans, the Office of the Vice President, and how Likud dragged America into an unwinnable war turned debacle? How about covering the plethora of Bush crimes, including iillegal wiretaps, lies and the real reasons Iraq was invaded?

Didn't think so. Your pimp General Electric might get upset. Pathetic excuses for journalism you are.

Go back to putting your brown noses back inside the cracks of the Establishment.
