"Muslims told to leave Major US Cities."
Is Oklahoma City a major US City?
The reason I ask is I just heard on TV that Muslims have been advised to leave major US Cities. Apparently Al Qaeda is about to strike again in many major US cities. What do you think? Oh, and I heard this on Glenn Beck from a guy who's a journalist embedded with English Troops in Afghanistan. I'm not saying he's wrong or right, I just want to hear your opinion.

6. Well
The good news is that the source is WorldNutDaily, meaning this is probably (hopefully) bunk.

2. Maybe they're gearing up for Rove's "October Surprise"
Don't know if OK City is considered major. Someone posted an article about this yesterday although the source was questioned. Now it's being reported on TV - Glenn Beck you say? Geez.

12. If Bushco was to do another 9/11 type attack
attacking the "heartland" would really frighten people.

19. You certainly hit the nail on the head with that one

Even if I am wrong about this particular thing, you can take these two certainties to the bank:

1) There WILL be an October Surprise (maybe more than one)

2) It will either cause the Imperial Subjects of Amerika incredible pain, as 9-11 did, or create a brief, intense upswelling of fear, like the Bush-Bin Laden "Campaign Video" and "American al Qaeda" tapes did 2 days before the Stolen Election of 2004. There is the smallest chance that whatever it it, it will cause delirious joy, like producing their Bushevik pal/patsy Bin Laden.

But the Busheviks don't seem to do joy, well not outside their private family orgies, anyway. They are much more in tune with dealing fear and pain to their subjects. Joy only makes us weak and lazy.

3. That is the kind of allegation in which the burden of proof
...is on the person making it. Unless the guy on "Glenn Beck" presents proof, I wouldn't believe it.

5. Well, there is precedent
One asshole already decided we were the symbol of all the evils of the united states.

And yes, we are a major city. Well, damn big anyway.

I live just south of Penn Square.

Close enough to be nervous if I was worried about such things. :-)

11. HAve you been here lately?
It's huge. It's not progressive or anything, but we are a small city, that's for sure. But we're not New York. Or LA. Or Chicago.

16. someone sent this to another group I belong to......
...personally I don't believe it. We've seen lots of this kind of thing since 9/11.

And really, even if it is true, that would eliminate the logic of 'Republicans will keep you safer' argument. If it does happen, people might not be so inclined to vote for Republicans in November.
