According to a scathing report released yesterday by the TSA , five years after 9/11 airports still have too few screeners and machines used to screen baggage are ineffective. Under President Bush and Bush Republicans,we are not as safe as we should be:

1. I'm pretty frickin' sure that I'm safer flying...

...than driving down Cerillos Road during rush hour or after dark or (especially) on a weekend night. The DUI figures in NM are appalling.

I'm also safer flying than I am getting into/out of the bathtub/shower, operating yard maintenance equipment, getting on a ladder to paint a third-story window frame, or shoveling snow off the driveway by hand.

I'm not avoiding flying because I think I'm not safe. I'm avoiding flying because it's so bloody unfuckingpleasant!
