4. Tac Progressive is, unfortunately, entirely correct in his assessment

of Rich. I too like to read him now, now that he has seen the light, but he and Dowd DID spent a lot of time and ink bashing Gore along with all the other hacks.

These talking heads are partially to blame for getting us into this mess by making serious elections into farces and opportunities to trash candidates. We will have to see how they treat Gore if and when he runs again -- maybe they will show more respect for the election process and their important part in getting the truth out to the public, rather than using air time to play with themselves.

Who said he was an agent for the dark side? Who said we should water-board anybody? Nice strawmen there. And yes, silly you, for thinking a columnist has no impact on anything. He helped Bush win in 2000 -- and now he's writing super-duper columns against Bush in 2006, like a good liberal.

Well good for him. And good for you for living in a fantasy world where all the Good Little Liberal Columnists are on your side, just regular people fully engaged in the progressive fight. Yeah right.

Did think Rich provided an interesting interview. Did think it was worth noteing for the benefit of others.
Clinton/Gore are NOT progressive. If you think so you're in a fantasy world. But that's OK with me. We don't all have to be in lock-step or pass anyone's 'purity' test.

3. I haven't forgotten

People like Maureen Dowd and Frank Rich have a long road back before I'll respect them again, though I appreciate what they've been doing for the past few years in helping to clean up the mess they helped start with their anti-Clinton/Gore attitudes and dishonesties from the Dem-bashing NYTimes headquarters.
