5. THis looks photoshopped or somehow altered to me.

I can't put my finger on it, but it looks odd. Like it's a collage of military faces (and one inexplicable suit) cut together for some kind of effect. Why there are 4 people looking off to the left, while the others are staring straight ahead, is also a mystery.

But none of them appear to be very interested in what was taking place.

7. I think what you're noticing is the 2-D effect of photography on a...

...group of folks sitting on bleachers which go back quite a depth. The more folks sit in rank & file like that the more unusual the photograph appears. Just a thought- you said the picture looked "odd" and I think that is what you were referring to.
