We are in big trouble US
listening to Chavez now and Ahmadinejad yesterday. The two of these leaders are adressing issues, we at DU adress everyday. Bush's speech sounds more and more like a "CAPED DUNCE" than a diplomat or President.

1. We have been in big trouble since 2000.
It's not like Bush wasn't a corrupt, treasonous, thief from Day One. He hit the ground running.

8. I weigh facts and reality
more than talking points. I analyze truth first, suppositional thoughts and conspiracy theories maybe, but I do take time to think. These attributes are not required by repugs. They listen without hearing and express without thought.

4. Our misleader is an insult to mankind. Complete embarrassment...
Misleader of the Free World....Utterly Naked Emperor......so, yes, we are in big trouble - as is the world, since his misdeeds have reach well beyond our borders.

5. Not only is Bush not on the same page as the rest of the world, he's
not even reading the same book!

The world is so small today, we must all strive to get along and respect other cultures. No one country can make a go of it all alone, yet Bush seems dead set on molding the world as he believes it should be, even without the aid of other countries.

As for allies, we are losing the ones we had, and straining relationships with others.

Bush needs to realize he's standing alone on an island, with only his (mis)administration and cronies, and the rest of the world and the majority of the American people, are standing on another island, looking across the water at him. And we're wondering what the hell is wrong with him.

And he feels he's right and everybody else is wrong. Now who is the one with the problem? Everybody else or George Bush?

18. If you believe that pure socialism is the way to go, then nothing
I do not believe most of the people in the U.S. agree with that however

13. Pending on the subject matter
and remarks from the democrats will be cast as unpatriotic. Yesterday Bill Frisk charged that the Democrats are the reason for this do nothing congress. Any comment regarding the two foreign speakers can be justified pro and con. The comparision of truth and articulation to Bush is obvious. He loses.

14. The big trouble started when the media went neocon in the 80's
And DINO's supplanted Democrats in the Democratic party.

in working towards a sort of separation and isolation of the US due to current US policy. There is in motion an independent mode from this hegemony model of our government taking hold around the world as we lose the high ground. This makes what happened on 9/11 even more tragic given worldwide initial support and sympathy to the US.
