Our Gas Prices are All Over the Place this morning.
The Shell station close to me is 196.9

All the other stations up and down the street are at 2.099.

I don't think I will ever understand just how the companies price their stuff.

The Shell Station is doing a good business.

4. I saw your thread
yesterday about it being under $2.00 and went to the station here and spent $2.69 for my diesel but I noticed that our regualr prices were well over $2.00. Is Missouri always that much lower than Kansas? Taxes?

Just wondering, I got a bit of a shock thinking the price would be lower!

5. Some are not playing by the republicans party play book for elections
bu$h himself says the prices are down to help the republicans stay in power...

In the midterm election on November 7, Bush predicted Democrats
won't win either the House or the Senate. "I believe these elections will come down to two things: one, firm belief that in
order to win the war on terror there must be a comprehensive strategy
that recognizes this war is being fought on more than one front, and, two, the economy." Bush said the price of gasoline, which has been falling rapidly, is one of the "interesting indicators" that the press should watch carefully. "Just giving you a heads up," he added.

7. Yeah it's amazing ...
$2.27 at one station, and at another 4 blocks away, $2.05.

You mean to tell me operating costs and transportation and all that jazz varies that much within a 4 block radius ?

Right. :eyes:

13. Your in luck if you live in a battleground state
and in a battleground district. DesMoines Iowa continues to be among the countries lowest while where I live a hundred miles away we are about 30 cents higher. But don't ever get the idea that low gas prices have anything to do with Republicant politics.
But for every dollar you save today, better put away two to pay for the increase thatwill "surprise" us after the election.

15. quick question
is Pepsi, Coke, milk, eggs etc the exact same price everywhere?

My point is that these folks will price based upon current market conditions, current income needs and, of course, wholesale cost. While wholesale cost should be the same (or very close to it), there are many variables that dictate what store A charges as opposed to store B

17. Haven't You Heard, Drop In Gas Prices & Election Is A Coincidence!
...You can bet that pressure will be brought against those keeping gas prices up.

This timeout in Oil Company price gouging will expire right after the midterm election.
