Just saw Amy & David Goodman live in Atlanta. Wow!!
They're out on the road doing a tour for their new book, "Static." I highly recommend going to see them if/when they come to your town. While David did a few readings from the book, Amy made an hour-long, impassioned speech that channeled Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, and Arundhati Roy. She was absolutely brilliant and captivating; it was one of the best public appearances I've ever witnessed, maybe even surpassing RFK Jr.'s amazing talk I attended last year.

My favorite news program. They really put the corporate news to shame with a small fraction of their budget.
I'll have to see if they are coming around here.

4. do you have the book?
Exception to the Rulers pissed me off so much I had to put it down several times!

I caught them a few years ago, on the last tour, and it made me a fan for life.

They were just in Portland on Sat, but I missed them. :(

I'm going to buy "Static" as soon as I'm done with my present reading. I've not read "Exception to the Rulers," either. Is it worth my time? (I'm guessing it is).

7. oh yea! if only for the story she tells of her experiences in East Timor..
I got goosebumps when she told the story onstage, and I got them again when I read that chapter of the book.
