7. We saw Willie in the casino at the Atlantis hotel in the Bahamas

a few years ago right after his 4th of July picnic, or maybe even the day of his picnic (like maybe he walked off the stage and got on a plane). I have NEVER seen any human being so bombed and still walk upright. He had one person on each arm, one of them saying, "This way, Mr. Nelson." I don't think he ever blinked and pupils the size of silver dollars! That was the last time I saw Willie. The first time was at the Gillespie County Fair in Fredericksburg, TX in like 1973 or 1974. He was just as bombed! A side note about that county fair, one of the guys that went up there with us says he was talking to some guy that played harmonica and he was going to try to get on stage with Willie. The guy did get on stage and later became a part of the band.
