Here there are cameras that watch you speeding and display your car number with a warning - not a picture of your car number the machine actually reads it and puts out the warning automatically

There same technology is used to track those who have not paid road tax or do not have insurance

There is a move to have cameras that time your average speed over a journey and send you a fine if the average is too fast

A car number can be entered into certain systems and automatically flag up an alert whenever that vehical passes a camera

Soon nearly every mile of Britains motorways (freeways), and A roads (interstates) will be covered by cameras

Me I live here and I totally think that the UK government is the most wonderful, freedom loving, responsible, caring, loving, upright and law abiding respecter of human rights that has ever existed in the entire world

I could see someone confessing to every crime or telling their life story to the spy cam. Asking it questions. Falling in love with one. The possibilities are endless. And kind of fun to contemplate.

I believe that if we were to have this kind of problem here, rogue bands of vandals would be having a field-day with smashing the survellence devices to bits, and I'd probably be right there with them...

Otherwise, why the big stink? Sounds like a helpful public service announcement. Can we get one that stops teenage girls from snapping gum in your ear, or possibly those "rap" kids from those pants they wear? It would be a blessing.
