KGO7 helicopter hovered half an hour on top of my house at 6am today

This morning we awoke to a helicopter hovering directly above the roof of our house from about 6:05 until 6:42 this morning. And apparently at less than the 500 ft minimum requirement over a residential area. It was a blue A Star helo with a big 7 painted on it. And the KGO7 receptionist admitted they knew they had a helo in our neighborhood at that time, which was while I was on the phone complaining to the FAA offices with the rotors as backround noise.

We live near the 680 freeway and expect a helicopter and sirens weekly if not daily. But in 10 and a half years of living here we have not once had a tv helo sit atop our house for half an hour.

And to the KGO receptionist who wondered why I was so rude, take these calls with some sense of a person having a helo sitting on top of their house at 6am for 30+ minutes, your KGO7 helo. Thank you for admitting to having a helo over our house and for painting your station logo on the A star, it made it much easier to complain to the right FAA offices.

2. Good for you. Those bastards flew that thing right in front of my house

for hours not too long ago.

I am about 100 feet above the Bay and it hovered there for most of the day.

My cat was freaking out.

4. We had a time locating the right offices, but when I called SFO FAA

the lady their seemed very happy to put me through to the Procedures Office to a guy named Craig Keeney(sounded like Keeney). Husband made some calls to Sacremento as well.

I guess I should be happy we sold this house and are moving to Santa Cruz, but I don't think that should make a difference. They f****** sat on my roof top for half an hour for no apparent reason. I looked for a police action, paramedics etc and there were none.

5. FAA Certificate Action against the pilot is the best way to stop

such things from reoccurring. Also letters in the station license file may get their attention.

7. gee, i was pissed

when a helo hoovered 5 blocks away for about 30 minutes to coer a fucking good fri fish fry line.
