PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON TO APPEAR ON THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART" MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 AT 11:00 P.M.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NEW YORK, September 14, 2006 -- President Bill Clinton will make his second appearance as a guest on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" on Monday, September 18 at 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT). President Clinton first appeared as a guest on the show on August 9, 2004.

Other politicians who have appeared on "The Daily Show" include former President Jimmy Carter, former Vice President Al Gore, Senator John McCain, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Senator Joseph Lieberman, Senator John Kerry, Senator Joe Biden, Senator Bob Kerrey, Senator Charles Schumer, Senator Norm Coleman, Senator Arlen Specter, Senator Barack Obama, Senator Ted Kennedy, Senator Trent Lott, Senator Rick Santorum, Senator Russ Feingold, Senator Barbara Boxer, Representative Dick Gephardt, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Senator John Edwards, who announced his intention to run for the 2004 Democratic nomination during an appearance on "The Daily Show" on September 15, 2003.

As previously announced, "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" will travel to the heart of America's most hotly contested swing state to cover the 2006 midterm elections as part of the show's ongoing "Indecision 2006" political coverage. "Battlefield Ohio: 'The Daily Show's' Midwest Midterm Midtacular" will be taped at the Roy Bowen Theatre at the Ohio State University and will air nightly at 11:00 p.m. from Monday, October 30 through Thursday, November 2. Host Jon Stewart will be joined by his team of award-seeking commentators and correspondents as they seek to answer the age-old question: Just what the hell is a buckeye?

In addition, the series will air a half-hour election night special live from COMEDY CENTRAL's World News Headquarters in New York City featuring up-to-the-minute results of the day's races from across the country. "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart 'Indecision 2006' Election Night" special premieres Tuesday, November 7 at 11:00 p.m. ET (tape delayed on West Coast). Also, for the first time ever, "The Colbert Report" will go live and deliver its own half-hour election night special to The Nation on Tuesday, November 7 at 11:30 p.m. ET (tape delayed on West Coast).

The nine-time Emmy and two-time Peabody Award-winning "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" was launched in the summer of 1996. The nightly news satire takes a reality-based look at news, trends, pop culture, current events, politics, sports, entertainment and the media. In each show, Stewart and a team of correspondents, including Dan Bakkedahl, Samantha Bee, Jason Jones and John Oliver, comment on the day's stories employing actual news footage, taped field pieces, in-studio guests and on-the-spot coverage of important news events.

Jon Stewart and Ben Karlin are the executive producers of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" with Kahane Corn serving as co-executive producer. The series' head writer is David Javerbaum who is also supervising producer. Chuck O'Neil is the director.

Each episode of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" repeats at 1:00 a.m. the same night and at 8:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. the following day.

but I'm especially looking forward to Gore being on his show. I don't remember him being interviewed by Stewart before.

12. Actually
I did see Gore on once, but it was in 2003 or 2004. He was very relaxed when he was on.

14. "Interesting" does not begin to describe it.
Let's count how many times they say "Monica." They have got to be planning to sandbag him.
