Which states have the lowest priced gasoline?
...and is there any correlation with the Senate campaigns that may be going on in those states. In Colorado, gasoline is about 2.87 per gallon on the cheap side. A poster this morning said she was paying 2.07 in Missouri? Any other prices out there? Just curious?

4. it's dropped like a stone here in WI
At a rate of about 5 cents a day! Last weekend if was $2.65 and this weekend it's $2.44.

As for a Senate connection: no--Kohl is running virtually unopposed.

5. Check www.gasbuddy.com
They have all kinds of information about gasoline prices across the US (and in Canada, too). One of my favorites is the National Gas Temperature Map (http://www.gasbuddy.com/gb_gastemperaturemap.aspx). It has color codes to show the average price gasoline, county by county or parish by parish.

Eyeballing it, I think the lowest average prices are in Missouri, Ohio, and Iowa. The highest seem to be on the West Coast, California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho and Utah. I don't really see any correlation, but your mileage may vary.

9. We paid $2.15 this afternoon here in West Central Ohio. It will
be interesting to watch it drop & drop until after the election and then zoom back up. The **'s are so predictable.

I'm definitely enjoying the lower prices but know they won't last and are only the result of ** jawboning his buddies in the petrol business.

I am from Ohio and now live in Wisconsin. Every time we drove back and forth for visits, gas was always significantly cheaper in Ohio.

35. Ohio gets the leftovers and irregulars -- the garbage.
Even with high gasoline taxes Ohians pay much less for gasoline because there are no laws in Ohio mandating quality. The garbage gas no other state will take ends up in Ohio.

15. In this state
it depends on where one lives.

If one lives on the interstate in a town in the middle of nowhere, it's still 2.89

If not, it is getting cheaper.

whoopie! gas is only almost three friggin' dollars a gallon!

28. In Oregon you're not allowed to pump your own, right? Gas there -
- will probably always be a bit higher than elsewhere because you're paying for someone to pump it, too.

23. Paid $2.77 in Orange County, NY...
My nephew works part-time at a gas station. He was told by his boss that the price of regular will go for "under two dollars before Thanksgiving". He said that customers are relieved.

He assured me that he reminds customers that "elections are coming". ...He's a good kid. :)

24. It should be painfully obvious to the public by now that this is
Manipulation in direct correlation with The Election. the thing that fascinates me is that now that the Fascists who are running things feel arrogant enough to be overt, they are doing everything with such an obvious tone that is borderlines on blatant brazen ism and petulance.

They obviously know that in reality a lot of us are waking up, but there are still enough sheeple lost in apathy, fear, or whatever ailment that keeps them from enlightenment that they feel they can out and out DARE us to call them on their shenanigans or try to stop them.

Have no illusions my fellow Americans, if you are still on the fence thinking "It can't happen here," wake up and realize that your thinking is outdated.

It HAS Happened here.

And we are very close to losing everything that was once even an illusion of democracy and real freedom.

Remember, Remember this 7th Of November.

For it will be the Season of the Final Republican Treason.

And that is the reason that we must stop them.

25. It just dropped again to $2.37 here in Wisconsin where taxes are high.
Unleaded regular has been dropping like a rock, but it is still 47 cents a gallon cheaper than diesel. The last time I filled up was on July 13th and I paid $3.01 a gallon. That's a 64 cent drop a gallon in just over 2 months. Must be an election coming up, don't you think?

As low as $2.19 a gallon in SE Virginia...we went from $2.95 about six weeks ago to $2.19 now. This is a military town, and George Allen is quaking in his fake cowboy boots over the threat of Jim Webb getting the military vote.
