Pleasantville
We saw the movie when first came out, in 1998, before the country stated is backward slide and we liked it then.

We now saw it on TV and it gained more meaning since the 2000 elections.

Interesting scenes where a boy taunted another that his girlfriend is "colored," or seeing signs on businesses: "No Colored allowed."

Different target but with the same meaning.

1. You should see the dvd extra music video of Fionna Applegate
singing Lennon's Across the Universe as the people are tearing apart the diner and she is unscathed in the midst of it. It's a great video. It's a great movie. I'll have to watch it again soon.

4. Since I can't edit the mistake, the name is Fiona Apple.
Leave the gate off. However, if you do that the dog will get out.

2. Love it.
And it was just on cable. It's a rare movie that can mean and say so much.

5. And how vivid the colors are
and, yes, I agree that everyone should see it. It is more relevant today than it was in 1998.
