Bush ....... "We do not torture"......then who IS doing the torturing?
Matt Lauer was asking some very pointed questions to Bush the other day and you could see Bush was getting rattled. He vociferously replied "America does not torture". But actually that's just legal semantics. He may be right....'WE' don't torture, but then why do we have 'Black Sites' in Poland or Romania? Do you think any member of the press will ever push the question to the next level by asking, "We don't torture, but were the Black Sites torturing on our behalf"?

1. We just have other people torture FOR us.
WE don't actually do it....we just have secret planes owned
and operated by the CIA flying people we hold illegally
to and from countries that are widely known to have the
best Torture Expertise on the planet.

But "WE" don't torture...except when we do, like at Gitmo,
but THAT doesn't count because B*sh says it isn't really
torture.

2. We DO torture....
We just don't call it "torture". It's alternative compulsion or some such claptrap.

3. It's outsourced....
It's business. We pay to have someone else do it so WE don't do it.

5. Enhanced Interrogation Techniques"
The CIA sources described a list of six "Enhanced Interrogation Techniques" instituted in mid-March 2002 and used, they said, on a dozen top al Qaeda targets incarcerated in isolation at secret locations on military bases in regions from Asia to Eastern Europe. According to the sources, only a handful of CIA interrogators are trained and authorized to use the techniques:

1. The Attention Grab: The interrogator forcefully grabs the shirt front of the prisoner and shakes him.

2. Attention Slap: An open-handed slap aimed at causing pain and triggering fear.

3. The Belly Slap: A hard open-handed slap to the stomach. The aim is to cause pain, but not internal injury. Doctors consulted advised against using a punch, which could cause lasting internal damage.

4. Long Time Standing: This technique is described as among the most effective. Prisoners are forced to stand, handcuffed and with their feet shackled to an eye bolt in the floor for more than 40 hours. Exhaustion and sleep deprivation are effective in yielding confessions.

5. The Cold Cell: The prisoner is left to stand naked in a cell kept near 50 degrees. Throughout the time in the cell the prisoner is doused with cold water.

6. Water Boarding: The prisoner is bound to an inclined board, feet raised and head slightly below the feet. Cellophane is wrapped over the prisoner's face and water is poured over him. Unavoidably, the gag reflex kicks in and a terrifying fear of drowning leads to almost instant pleas to bring the treatment to a halt.

8. As someone who was kept in a cell without heat in January without
clothing or even a blanket, nothing surprises me when it comes to Americans in power and their capacity for cruelty.

He has other countries torture.
He has contractors torture.
He has the CIA and Military Intel torturing.

BUT Gonzales said its ok and not really torture.

I wonder ... if someone water boarded him, shoved broomsticks and glow sticks up his ass, made him do all sorts of homosexual and sadomasochistic acts with cheney and a few others, had dogs biting him, let someone cut up his genitals with a razor and gave his penis the electric shock treatment, tied him up and left him in the cold - naked and covered with excrement and made him say how much jesus sucked and how he hated him and dunk his bible in the crapper.
Would he still be cool with it?

That would be my guess, if official American government employees aren't the ones doing it.
