Is FOX TV related to 20th Century Fox?
Saw an ad for this on my local Fox TV affiliate. I'm assuming they are the under the same umbrella. Anyone know for sure?

Has Fox gone full on for the Christian right and just decided to give up any pretense of "fair and balanced"?

1. Looks like it
It's all phony; the fundies they are attracting might complain about what goes on the FOX network... but don't expect any changes there.

It's all about money.

4. Yup, Why they don't change it to 21st Century Fox, like they said...
...on an old SNL episode in the late 1970's, I don't know.
(I think it was one of the 70's shows, they had a sketch where they did Jeopardy 1999)

9. Actually....
There was such a thing. But didn't last long. One movie stood out, but I forgot what it was.

6. Fox=Murdoch=money
Do not mistake Rupert Murdoch for a Robert Novak or Michael Savage. Murdoch may be the shrewdest media marketer of our era. "Fair and balanced" is just a marketing ploy.

Murdoch not only runs FNC and the New York Post, he also owns the Times of London. That's the newspaper that broke the "Downing Street Minutes" story on the Bushies "fixing (making up) facts around the policy" to justify overthrowing Saddam Hussein.

Murdoch also hangs out and raises campaign funds for Hillary.

I'm sure he sees Fox Faith Movies as just another profit center.

10. I believe that
The FOX broadcast network is actually somewhat liberal. Remember, they once aired "TV Nation" with Michael Moore. And some shows, like "The Simpsons" are far from what I'd call conservative.

FOX News is basically a Roger Ailes sex fantasy.

Likely, FFM is just a division to fill a niche. The fundie flick segment is pretty big now (believe it or not). Murdoch's politics are all about money.

11. Of course Fox films also has "Little Miss Sunshine", "Fast Food Nation"
and "The Last King of Scotland", which has great buzz — it's about Idi Amin.

Fox also has F/X, which plays "Nip/Tuck", Morgan Spurlock's "30 Days" and "Rescue Me", all some of the most cutting edge TV ever.

This is just trying to make a few bucks with the niche, nothing more.
