The Beautiful Virus:

The Beautiful Virus
(Draft 1)

Andrew G Gatto

The Bush Administration’s message of “preserving freedom” while “fighting the global war on terrorism” is wholly and deliberately a sham. His premise of “marching (advancing) freedom” and “freedom on the march” is an endeavor of ignorance and imperialism. His stated purpose of “protecting the homeland” while “preserving the rights” of its citizens is an outright lie.

His singular agenda is to transform our nation into a totalitarian, expansive state. His desire is to nullify the United States Bill of Rights in order to perpetuate a purely imperial reign over the citizens of this country and those conquered abroad.

Should we willingly or otherwise subject ourselves to make any single Constitutional concession to this President or any future President, we will have lost the war on terrorism. Worse, we will have lost a great battle in the greater war to preserve our forever evolving freedoms.

The purest notion that we will be victorious over the global terrorist threat is void should we accept a single action by our government to remove the slightest inkling of our Constitutional rights. Rather, should the citizens of this nation choose to allow for any limitation on any of our rights under the Constitution, we would be bellowing out our defeat for the world to hear. Our armistice would consist of nothing less than our long embattled freedom, our concession, our Bill of Rights.

As the President almost joyously proclaims when standing before his restricted and carefully compiled audiences, we are at war. With war, there is much sacrifice. There is death and misery. There is starvation and suffering. There are mistakes, which lead to battles lost. There is a horrific toll on our young men and women, who represent this nations future.

At its core, war is often the end result of conflicting ideologies. However, many times in our history, war assumes a different and more sinister identity. It reveals itself as a declaration of one’s superior ideology over another. At this time, war becomes an imperial manifesto and is at all times pursued duplicitously and at grave expense to the subjects of the emperor.

As a result of history and the intellectual evolution of nations and the pools from which their leaders are drawn, we can easily deduct that when war is imperial, it is at all times unjust. When war is based on the premise of divine right or is pursued by a thesis of a “final battle” between the cultural elite and “savages,” it is savagery in itself.

Imperial war is not one, but two wars. This warfare seeks to conquer the land of a defined enemy; but worse, it seeks to conquer the will and the liberties of the homeland. For imperial war to flourish, the homeland must become empire. For the homeland to become empire the political structure must have a mandate; the leader must in all actuality rise to a kingly state; the citizens must in all actuality devolve into mere subjects of the new king.

As we are a nation based on a sound collection of theories abhorrent to tyranny and therefore conducive to liberty and the institutional prevention of despicable notions of autocracy, the citizens, who are now mere subjects, shall become active, however unwitting combatants in war against the empire. The alternative is to become a willing subject. Often, those willing do so blindly. For they have been duped by the methods of the emperor and his skilled and devious court. Other times, those willing do so with the hope of reaping a portion of the spoils gleaned by the court. Lastly, those willing are not willing. Rather, they are supportive of the mandate simply from fear.

This internal war is singularly unrelated to the expansionist war that had caused it. It is a separate conflict of opposing ideologies between the subjects and the empire itself. In this case, however, the army against the emperor is inherently a mandate. It is the superior ideology. It is the divine right in spite of its subversion. Therefore, in an undetermined expanse of time, it is always victorious.

The President habitually proclaims duplicitously imperial slogans such as, “freedom is on the march, (a horrific attempt to intertwine the diametric opposites between liberty and imperialism).” What his ignorance prohibits him from realizing is that true freedom is never gained by preemptive and external powers. Freedom does not invade inward. Rather, freedom expands outward and is always defined by those within the boundary of the individual oppression.

Freedom is viral as opposed to antiseptic. It is a beautiful virus, an ever-changing metaphysical being. It does not march in nor “inject” itself by use of armed soldiers and their various and powerful weapons. The normative idea of freedom is cultivated and spread independently of other bodies. This contagion can only infect other bodies when it has consumed the original body.

Adversely, the Neanderthal attempt to mandate freedom invasively is in fact the antiseptic to freedom. As we have all witnessed, despite any supposed political victories in this new imperial war, shall we say, “the other war,” the sum of all attempts cannot be defined as “freedom.” Rather, it is a system of imperial control that embodies a subordinate system that will seek to control its subjects. Thus, it shall create a third war and a fourth and fifth should the empire continue.

Our war is beginning to rage. Our armies are growing but we face powerful weapons. Our war is against the removal of our own freedom. Ironically, our liberty is long established and evolved. Ours is a freedom that had been brutally established and defended many years ago. Further, our freedom has evolved. The virus has mutated into a vast variety of forms.

Our freedom has perpetually expanded to deal with the antiseptic opposition of freedom in its purest form. It has transcended the toxic ideologies of oppressive groups and individuals. For example, although the sociological ideologies of ethnocentrism and racism have by no means been corrected or even addressed in this nation, our freedom has on countless occasions overcome them despite their presence. Thus, those who are domestically victimized are institutionally protected nonetheless.

Needless to say, while our freedom is perpetually altering itself to overcome obstacles to its potency, there are times when evil persons, groups and institutions collectively seek to sanitize it once and for all. Our President has blatantly shown us that he is at the forefront of this most contemporary of evil pursuits against us. Thus, the war rages again.

While our superior ideology is forever evolving; the President’s, as with all others of his like, is based on a collection of obsolete ideals and proven historical failures of policy. While ours is objective and moves independently, his is inherently curvilinear, thus, its escalation is equal to its decline; its fruit is doomed to decay.

The methodology of the President and his loyalists is nothing new. It is a pitiful revisitation of old tactics, which proved to be monumental failures over time.

There are countless examples of these tactics. It is as if the President and his loyalists have chosen to focus on the temporary benefits of imperial and totalitarian methods while purposefully ignoring their inevitable failures. For example, since September 11, 2001, the President and his loyalists have made every effort to blur the line between patriotism and nationalism. Patriotism is a primary component of our superior ideal where nationalism is flawed by its inherent ethnic repercussions. Further, the diverse structure of the American experience is prohibitive of domestic nationalism and can in no way be implemented broadly within the United States. Thus, nationalism is not worthy in the face of true patriotism and has been dealt with by the evolution of our specific freedom. This example is fundamental to revealing the depths of the President’s sinister agenda, which, when coupled with the arsenal of other methods, can stunt the growth and potency of our specific freedom.

What we face in this war is of generational proportion. Should the President and his consortium of evil men and women find any measured success in anesthetizing our beautiful virus, he shall succeed in creating a regime that shall not be reversed in our lifetime. He shall ensure that our children will be engaged in an almost perpetual war, an escalation of the war we are engaged in today. While our suffering may seem almost unbearable for us, the suffering of our children shall be exponentially greater and shall rage on until the purity of our specific freedom alters itself to overcome the effect of this wicked pursuit.

This week, the President and his loyalists plan to boost an exploitation of ignorance by propagating the ridiculous notion that he has a right to ignore our First and Fourth Amendment rights. This treachery is a direct attack on our civil liberties and if successful, will do a great service to his quest to sanitize our liberty as granted us by the United States Constitution.

I ask that each of you, whether conservative or liberal and despite of whether your beliefs are in direct opposition of my own heed and accept this one. I ask that you stand united as a Constitutionally governed nation, unified in this instance to defend your liberty from an aggressive threat. I beg of you to see the President’s quest in this instance for what it truly is.

Your President seeks to conquer you. He seeks to exterminate the diversity and natural interaction of our individual rights as citizens and replace them with his own unilateral mandate. He seeks to rule us unequivocally.

We must profess that in fact, pure freedom in its various states is the only superior ideology. It is devoid of and immune to sinister methods and is the only righteous manifesto ever to reveal itself to humanity.

We must become soldiers for our Constitution. We must enlist all who have tasted and infected themselves with this beautiful virus to fight this broad attempt to sanitize our beloved sickness despite any lesser disagreements.

We must win this battle for the sake of our posterity. We must prevail before an emperor is seated.
What shall you do?

1. I shall read the first three paragraphs and the last four
The rest? Well... I agree with the premise and the summation, but it's a bit long, isn't it?

3. You seem to misunderstand the word "empirical"
It has nothing to do with 'empire' - that would probably be "imperial."

em·pir·i·cal adj.
1. Relying on or derived from observation or experiment.
2. Verifiable or provable by means of observation or experiment.
3. Of or being a philosophy of medicine emphasizing practical experience and observation over scientific theory.
