Shrub don't know what "outrages upon personal dignity" means
Edited on Sat Sep-16-06 09:40 AM by UTUSN

The ABC “reporter” introduced the news conference as Shrub “coming off a good week.” Cough. This would be the week he did his shameless 9-11 cheerleading and fear mongering, and when 3 Repuke senators did him in.

Then Shrub proceeded to proclaim that the Geneva Conventions need “clarity” because HE doesn’t know what prohibiting “outrages upon personal dignity” means. Harrumph.

So he wants a law to spell out exactly and specifically what acts of outrages of personal dignity he can order. Yip.

Guess what, Shrub, somebody of the Marcus Aurelius type can order something and somebody of the Caligula-Nero type can order the SAME thing, and it AIN’T GONNA come out the same!!1

Newsflash, Shrub: You ain’t no Marcus Aurelius!!1

Article 3 prohibits nations engaged in combat from "violence to life and person, in particular murder of all kinds, mutilation, cruel treatment and torture" and "outrages upon personal dignity, in particular, humiliating and degrading treatment." (Read the full text of Article 3)

1. If he wants to know what an outrage on human dignity looks like...
...he should just look in the mirror. The day he was selected POTUS by the SCOTUS was a bad day for the human race.

2. Well in all fairness Bush is kind of an idiot
You'd think someone on his staff would explain it to him.

3. He doesn't have to!
As long as the media whores for him, he can get away with whatever he wants to, just like any other spoiled brat!

4. Perhaps if * were to be on the receiving end
of "outrages upon personal dignity” he would have the clarification he needs?

And I say, let it be broadcast live on Faux and ABC to help their dwindling ratings. :)

5. Remember this is the man who branded frat pledges with a red hot
coat hanger. A college prank or an outrage on human dignity? Obviously he is confused...
