"an obligation to defend civilization"
This is how * started his ravings yesterday. There is so much wrong with that phrase, starting with the implication that the Christian West is the only crucible of civilization in the world. Followed by the implication that America represents the civilization worth defending. All of those cultures and peoples who have existed thousands of years before this puny little nation, and upon whose shoulders we stand. And the Littlest Dictator thinks that we are the pinnacle of civilization and its protector.

1. Well it is not just this little dictator who thinks it that is the whole
problem. It is also that a sizable portion of the country thinks it also. It's called hubris and it is something we desperately need to get past, and soon.

2. It is like some thing so easy as this
These countries want to control their own goods and we, in this country and in other countries, let the rich buy the goods and sell them back to us so we say they are wrong and must do it our way. Then at times we send in the army if they will not do it our way. It is hard to understand each other and how people want to do things. Plus 'We the people' may just mean 'we the tribe' or clan in some place and we just will not face it plus it is not how we think it should be. I do not understand that thinking that every one must do as we do but I sure know many in this country think this way. We are right and every one better get into line. Plus they tack God, ours, on to our side.
