bush: "Time is running out. They are coming again". but, but, I thought..
http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Bush_says_terrorists_are_coming_again_0915.html

I thought we were safer than ever mr. bush, what's this shit now? Time is running out? That sounds pretty scary, I thought the republicans alone could make us all safer and now you say time is running out and they are coming again? And I'm supposed to relax and be happy?

------------------------------------------------

In arguing for legislation that would define US interpretation of the Geneva Conventions in a way that many would argue would allow certain forms of torture, Bush said, "I wish I could tell the American people, 'don't worry about it.' They're not coming again. But they are coming again."

"Time is running out," the President concluded.

At one point, an angered Bush answered one reporter's request for a follow-up question with a sharp, "No, you can't."

One CNN commentator went so far as to call the President's behavior "belligerent" immediately after the conference.

1. I Think The Word Was "Mad"
I hope one day the corporate media wakes up out of its haze and looks at this asshat as the doofus and bully the rest of us see. Between the Rovian intimidation that's turned the White House Press Corp into a steno pool and the distorted notion that they have to "respect" the office or play "balanced"...lest they feel the wrath of that nasty right wing hate machine. It's almost Pavolvian now...the more booosh barks, the more submisive these goons become as they're afraid if they speak out too loudly they're gonna get voted off the island.

Today the "Chimperor" wore no clothes. He was as naked to the world as he's ever been. He showed the obstinance, arrogance and ignorance that we have long detested and now a majority of Americans see as bullshit. The corporate media still is stuck in their Stockholm syndrome...more worried about their access and what people will say at the drinkie-drinkie parties than exposing a soul that has lost any concept of being human.

The Chimperor was scared. And not of the bad, eeeevil terr'ists. He's going down at some point. No Washinton/Lincoln/JFK treatment for him. Mommy and Poppy will be sooooo mad.

3. Yes Georgie, The Dems are coming; oversight is coming...
probes into all your illegal and secretive acts are coming. Accountability is coming. Time is running out fr you and your band of felons.

Your five year putsch to bring BIG BROTHER to replace BIG GOVERNMENT is almost over. Imagine what life will be like with the House of Representatives in control of people who are fed up with your reign of terror. Oh, Georgie, the air is gonna be so thick with Congressional subpoenas Washington will look like it's having a blizzard with 8.5 x 17 inch snowflakes packed in blue wrappers.

5. I hope so! But even when we win, I worry that nothing is going

to happen really. No charges filed against him, no retroactive impeachment, no real investigation of 9-11. They're complicit, for the most part. They've all got the goods on each other, and it's an honor among thieves mentality up there on Capitol Hill.

Please prove me wrong, Dems!

On edit: I'm still hoping Conyers will go after * once the tide has turned. I'm totally open to being surprised by Congress actually doing stuff that SUPPORTS the Constitution and restores America's dignity in the world. May it be so!

6. What's running out is the little man's term. And he is wide open
to being charged with war crimes and hasn't been able to get legislation to protect his sorry butt. This is all about him. He and our esteemed Attorney General are no doubt huddling regularly with Rove trying to work out strategy as to how to push something through so he can yet again avoid responsibility for his sociopathic actions.

8. That was my exact though . . .
. . . it is a threat, not a statement.

9. Here's a different spin...
Edited on Sat Sep-16-06 08:29 AM by spanone
Jonathan Turley on Countdown last night had a twist on this 'running out of time' shit. Turley concluded that the 14 detainees that bush* just sent to Gitmo would soon be talking to the Red Cross. He speculated that the 'time' factor was that they would soon be describing their torture to the Red Cross and war crimes could be brought against this mal-administration. Now wouldn't that be sweet.

10. hate...him...so...much...
"It's unacceptable," a visibly angered Bush told the press, "to think there's any kind of comparison between the behavior of the United States of America and the action of Islamic extremists, who kill innocent women and children to achieve an objective."

uh...what about bombing a houses because he "think" a bad guy (or yet another al-queda #2) is in there?

fucker...
