Not as entertaining as K. Harris & maybe not as stupid, K Hughes is back!

I wonder how much she makes to the nothing that she does. Why would she even carry a briefcase to the office....why have an office? And just what the hell is an "undersecretary of state for public deplomacy and public affairs" suppose to be doing?
Splat!

<snip> upon the fifth anniversary of 9/11, Hurricane Karen, as she is known in Bush circles (or at least was until Katrina brought the President’s poll numbers down), has chosen to let her views about the state of the world be better known, in a September 12 article in the national daily USA Today.

<Snip>..Hughes blames the inadequate global response to terrorism not one iota on the missteps of the Bush administration, but on the “lack of outrage” of ordinary citizens throughout the world.

<snip>...Second, Hughes unjustifiably attacks religious leaders worldwide for tolerating terrorism. Their criticism of violence, she declares, “seems oddly muted.”

<snip>....Hughes’s proposal on how to fight terrorists is vague and ill-defined. “Our challenge,” she says, “is to launch a new grassroots movement across all faiths and continents, a movement that clearly states that no grievance, no complaint, no matter how legitimate, can ever justify the targeting and killing of innocent civilians.

3. Hughes had quite a bout trying to convince the wifes of wealthy
ME aristocrats that they were oppressed & needed to obtain the rights of western women. Needless to say she was met with a rather chilly
reception.

7. That's right. The Turkish women scorned her
for her saying the Western way was the better way.

“Our challenge is to launch a new grassroots movement across all faiths and continents, a movement that clearly states that no grievance, no complaint, no matter how legitimate, can ever justify the targeting and killing of innocent civilians."

5. Oddly muted ...
Like Falwell and Robertson decrying the murder of Women's Health doctors....

Or the bombing of clinics...

Yea, they were all up on that....

6. Blah, she always shows up before an important event to make sure
she bullshits about the President's wonderful leadership. She is more PR. No substance, just fluff. She is presented as being every-woman, but it must just be every Republican woman, because I dislike her almost as much as Bush.

12. Could never see her and not feel hopeful, happy, empowered
A Grand Dame for sure. The world is poorer for her absence.
