VIDEO - Olbermann, Fineman, Turley on Bush Press Conference
Keith Olbermann’s opening story on Countdown tonight. Howard Fineman joins the discussion, and later Jonathan Turley. Turley discusses the point that Bush is trying to rush congress to pass this law quickly so he can retroactively say that the things the CIA did in the past were legal (even though only under current law upon bill passage). Turley points out that the 14 prisoners that are now awaiting trial have now had access to Red Cross and may start talking about how they were tortured. He also points out that Bush has already commited 30 felonies from the eavesdropping program and now torture, which is regarded as one of the worst things that can be approved by a head of state under International Law.

2. David Gregory is tasting blood, and won't let go. Keep it up David!
We're counting on you to keep Chimpy tap-dancing.

4. Amen!
Following in the footsteps of Helen Thomas, just as Olbermann is following in the footsteps of Edward R Murrow

3. Thanks for sharing this.
Turley is a renowned expert on the Constitution, and he is totally unflappable. He's also nonpartisan, as he played a role for making the case of impeachment against Bill Clinton.

14. Yeah, and that was reprehensible. Turley's got a long way to go,
in my book, to balance that.

7. Thank you for this. I am slowly beginning to rethink Turley.
He was such a despicable bastard during the Clinton cock hunting years, but I do believe he has seen the light. Maybe.

12. I'd love to know whether Turley still thinks Clinton
committed an impeachable offense after enduring 6 years of Chimpdogery.

8. K & #4 R.
Before I had cable, DUers posting these clips were the only way I got to see Olbermann. I had to miss tonight's show, so I really appreciate your posting this here.

9. Olbermann is really hitting *hard* these days.
It's like he's got a Louisville Slugger in his hands and is being pitched gopher ball after gopher ball by ChimpCo. Every night he blasts one into the stands.

Why doesn't any of the other news media sources realize what's happening in this country? Is Olbermann the only one outraged by what's happening?

13. i became aware of turley when the downing street "memo" first
broke--he sat at that "meeting" with john conyers (they couldn't call it a hearing or some such shit) and i thought he was great.

i look forward to hearing what he has to say all the time--tonight was great. keith was great.

i only saw the show on the rerun & i was thinking too bad i can't see what turley said again--i did a search on his name here and was really happy to have found this thread.

thanks!!!

15. Was that Tony Snow giggling like a bully in the gang behind
David Gregory? How disgusting.

And David Gregory had nothing but love for that asshole *ush last week on Bill Maher, so I think his credibility is not so great with me.
