The video from last night's on "The Daily Show w/Jon Stewart." This one is beyond any comment I can think of:

2. Like Stewart Says...
as he imitates Bush, "Matt. They're trying to kill your family. Can you picture your loved ones being killed. Now go vote."

5. Yep, I've spent hours (days) at YouTube just looking at...
...old Daily Show clips. Just search the words: Jon Stewart Daily Show -- and you'll get thousands of great clips.

If you like Stephen Cobert, check these out:

20. Exactly! He acts like the school yard bully, and the Army and Navy are...
...his school yard muscle back up, and the Republican controlled Congress and the Military Industrial Complex are his toadies.

9. Bush is going to have the upper hand with neanderthals on this one
UNTIL, it can be proven that he abused it politically. And not against Democrats, but against a well-known moderate Republican.

11. Until it happens to THEM personally - not their wives, sons, THEM
they are going to enjoy any kind of suffering visited on other human beings - because that's the real glue that holds together bush's base.

13. Sad truth, sad truth.
The people who are reaching them and turning them against Bush, is not us, but those Republicans who have lost sons and daughters in Iraq; those Republicans who have lost family in the WTC; and those who have been specifically identified as "whackos" by their own people. i.e. The Christian Right in the Abramoff-Reed e-mails.

If we have any impact at all, it's from the Republicans who have suffered direct loses who come here looking for answers, and who go back to their friends with the facts they have learned.

19. Yes! I noticed that too, You don't even have to join YouTube to Rate it!
Until it has close to a hundred vote, one or two bad ratings can drop it's rating.

18. Reminds me of 5th grade........kids talk like that
I used to teach 5th grade and would hear such banter from the kids. It seems pretty childish for a 60-year old man!

If I had a time machine, I don't know if I'd rather travel to January 20, 2009, when it's finally over, or November 2000 to try to stop it, but I just want it to be over.

22. Have you seen that bumper sticker...."Wake Me When It's Over"?
The 'W' in "wake" has a circle around it with the diagonal slash...a nice slam at George 'W'.

Um, remind me again, which Amendment specifies the right to be detained indefinitely in a secret prison in an undisclosed location?

26. I just wonder if anyone has explained to him that...
Edited on Sun Sep-17-06 02:44 PM by Up2Late
...ALL the laws of The United Sates of America apply to "the president" too, but then he would want to know what the word "apply" means too, let alone what "...preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States..." means.

<http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/pihtml/pioaths.html>

Each president recites the following oath, in accordance with Article II, Section I of the U.S. Constitution:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
