He thanked us for all the emails, etc., but if you go back and listen to what he actually said, the 800,000 referred to the number of viewings/downloads of the video.

Of the people who were moved by his speech, I estimate that at most only one in ten or twenty would have sent him mail. If he got 800k letters that means there's a big portion of the population who are in agreement with him. Add his book sales to that and I think there could be a sea change of public opinion as the media moguls realize that Limbaugh clones have had their day.
