Al From Meeting With Bloomberg Re: His Running For President?

We have all wondered why the democrats (as a whole) haven’t stood up to the pugs, with any kind of strength or resolve. How many times have we wondered why we have been sold down the river time and again. The main reason, to me, has been the influence of the DLC with their centrist/right ideology. These DLC insiders have gone a long way to wrecking the Democratic Party from the inside out. They are not for us, they are for themselves and we are ignored at best. They’d like to fly swat us away so they can continue their path of selling the party out. (This linked article goes a long way in explaining the mechanism of the DLC: http://www.prospect.org/print/V12/7/dreyfuss-r.html )

Now we find out that the so called head of the DLC insiders club is meeting with a repug, to discuss a third party run. To me this tells the tale about From and how he operates. This info is important and should be spread far and wide. And I wonder, do the other DLCers know about this? The Clintons, Schumer, Emmanuel……?

CBS 2 Exclusive: Despite Public Denials, Mayor Has Secret Meeting With National Political Strategist, Wall Street Money Man

(CBS) NEW YORK New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has always denied it, but CBS 2 has learned the details of a secret meeting, involving the mayor, to discuss a possible run for the White House.

CBS 2 has learned the details of a private dinner for the mayor that was held at an apartment building on Manhattan's Upper East Side last month. There, he spent the evening in serious discussions about the viability of a White House run.

Sources told CBS 2 Bloomberg brought three deputy mayors with him, and proceeded to talk through every angle of a presidential run. By the end, the group had zeroed in on his running as an independent in 2008. And, the sources said, he seemed intrigued.

The dinner was held at the home of Michael Steinhardt, a legendary Wall Street hedge fund manager and a Bloomberg friend. He brought along Al From, head of the Democratic Leadership Council, which played a part in Bill Clinton's rise to power in 1992." cont...
