Lou Dobbs using the school bus incident to deflect accusations of racism?

I was pleased when I tuned in a couple weeks ago and saw him covering the Louisiana school bus racial incident. Now, as he continues to cover the story, I can't help but wonder why is he sticking to just this one issue when there are a lot of other racial incidents he can bring nationwide attention to.

Is this just a token topic Dobbs is using to confuse his detractors (who call him racist/anti immigrant)?

1. Maybe he's a xenophobe rather than a racist.

I don't know much about him but I don't have the impression that he's a racist. I think he's just obsessed with illegal immigrants. Is his complaint related to skin color or nationality? Like I said, I don't know, for sure, but I think it's nationality, for Lou.

He mentions other things so he won't be accused of being a one topic pony.

Lou Dobbs is about giving the GOP the immigration issue exclusively. This has been his only real topic since a little bit in advance of the elections heating up.

I believe after the election he may go back to covering crooked Corporate bigwigs.
