I was thinking the same, it is always VERY hot!!!
I kind of drink it slowly first, like sipping tea, then use a a spoon for the rest of the cup.

cooking should kill the organism - it isn't botulism, where a toxin remains even though the bacteria mey be eliminated.

Many groceries are pulling anything that contains spinach off their shelves.

25. You'll be fine. There's a lot of overreaction to this.
The only spinach that is a danger is FRESH BAGGED spinach, similar to the kind you find alongside the bagged salads in your grocery store. There is no danger from canned spinach, frozen spinach, fresh loose spinach, or bulk spinach (what restaraunts use).

I think creamed spinach is rather yukky (love spinach, just not creamed), but you shouldn't have any worries about eating it.
