NYT: Bush "STRONGLY" Defends...
Edited on Fri Sep-15-06 02:19 PM by stopbush
well, today, the Times says that he "strongly" defends plan on prisoners (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/15/washington/16bushcnd.html?hp&ex=1158379200&en=c59d29913e2d396d&ei=5094&partner=homepage).

But, that's the Times. They obviously have a template for front-page stories that starts "Bush Strongly...". They then fill in the rest of the headline depending on
what the RNC/WH has decided the story will be for the day. Tomorrow, bush might "Strongly..." fart in the face of an aide, or he might "Strongly..." assert that black is white,
or he might "Strongly..." decide that he wants to make ketchup enemas part of his health plan for seniors.

The important thing is to realize that whatever bush does, he does - in the words of the NY Times - "strongly..." because anyone who farts as much as
bush reportedly does is going to have a strong air about him.

Facing revolt, Bush defends terror proposals
‘Time is running out,’ president says, rejecting criticism by Powell, others

WASHINGTON - Faced with a revolt by some fellow Republicans over treatment of foreign terrorism suspects, President Bush on Friday vigorously defended his strategy at a press conference.

“The enemy wants to attack us again,” he said in urging Congress to pass controversial legislation to detain, interrogate and try suspects in the war against terrorism.

“Time is running out,” Bush said from the White House Rose Garden. “Congress needs to act wisely and promptly.”

3. Is "panickyly" an adverb?
Because he sounded panicky and desperate to me. Of all the traits falsely attributed to this overaged brat, "strong" is the most ridiculous.
