You want Legal Certainty - Follow The Law!

Funny how shrub and Co are all so loud today about wanting legal certainty. Really?

A simple idea worth considering, follow the law. This may come as a surprise but one cannot govern with a philosophy of, "Here is the law, how do I get around it." It does NOT work.

USA is a land of laws. shrub and Co need to get back to living within the law. Follow the principle of here is the law follow it. Civilized people have been able to defeat organize crime, capture their criminal leaders and bring them to justice using the law, national and international. shrub should try it.

Article III of the Geneva Conventions applies, follow it. Result is legal certainty.

1. I agree with him
Legal certainty would likely dictate he spends the rest of his days in prison.

All for it, Junior.

2. Agreed and Well Said.
I first heard his comment on clarity while driving home just a bit ago and almost went through the roof of my truck! His sliding scale of law (okay for me, but not for you) leaves more confusion not less. If changes are needed that is what we have Congress around to do. Until they make changes the law IS THE LAW and he is duty bound to follow it. Anything less is well, just uncivilized.

3. "Here is the law, how do I get around it."
This is how the hyper-rich relate to the law. It is there to stop them from doing whatever the hell they want. This is why they hire lawyers. This is the function Abu Gonzales has always performed for the BFEE, and it is the way they expect him to perform now.

Corporate law, and the Law of the Land are barely related.

4. Well ther is always HOPE...
In reponse to Gregorys question about US soldiers being captured and tortured Gregory asked how Bush would feel about that.....Bush reply is " I WOULD HOPE THAT THOSE COUNTRIES WOULD HAVE THE SAME HIGH STANDARDS AS WE UPHOLD...." or somthing to that effect. Gee I guess Kim Il Sung would have no problem at all in having high standards.

Bush is an idiot HOPING THINGS WIL BE OK! If I was in the military I would be getting out pronto. I don't like it when my comander is hoping everything works out!

6. If in doubt, don't do it!
If you have the least suspicion that what you plan may be illegal, don't do it at all.

A pretty good rule, and it never fails.
