I guess what he's saying is he refuses to accept that innocent women and children have died as a direct result of HIS actions. Most adults accept that even the noblest actions can result in unfortunate circumstances. In Bushes case the action weren't even noble. Grow up and wake up to the crapfeast that is YOUR Iraq. It's hard to imagine that the "moral" party is currently arguing that the US law need to be rewritten to allow MORE torture.

"It's unacceptable to think there's any kind of comparison between the behavior of the United States of America and the action of Islamic extremists who kill innocent women and children to achieve an objective," said Bush, growing animated as he spoke.

1. They're not innocent.
All Muslims are terrorists.

(and for the sarcasm impaired: :sarcasm: )

2. I honestly think that's what he believes.
I don't know how else he could look at himself in the morning.

3. It's called hubris, and it has become the standard
definition of America.

10. The greek tragedy of our times is that America jusifies
its existence on its excessive pride and haughtiness when humility is needed, but humility comes with age and wisdom.
America's people and endeavors is a nation made up by all the world and is not a creation by this egotistical asshole.
My country is not a egotistical asshole.

Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.

12. Sorry to pop your bubble, but we have building towards this
for a long time, ever since the end of WWII. As a young nation I'm afraid it is just a lesson we are going to have to learn and the time is upon us in which we will learn it. I just hope it doesn't end up being too painful of a lesson.

13. My bubble of that reality
Is one that has been seen to be translucent
by many.

But that reality is one
that many have listened to
for those that do not see.
But hear.

4. Bush is a pure sociopath, if you ask me
He has zero ability to empathize with any living creature, so 100,000+ civilian deaths really don't phase him all that much, especially if they are not Americans. Come to think of it, he's even mentioned that September 11, 2001 ended on "a humorous note" for him and Laura...his brain just doesn't work right.

5. Yes, lack of empathy.
That's what I sense when I watch him interact with interviewers - such as Matt L. the other day. He just can't get into another person's head to communicate on the same level. Most people think about what the other person is saying and analyze what it is they're trying to elicit. Bush just misses all those cues and flies off on whatever topic has been drilled into his head by his handlers. Clinton, on the other hand, seemed to know what the questions were getting at before they were finished speaking, and had fantastic responses.

Ah the good old days when the president wasn't certifiable.

6. I think
He truly believes he is "helping" these people. I always notice he gets testy when people seem to fail to appreciate his "help". And yes his great failing is his complete inability to understand how other people feel and think. He instead projects feelings and thinking into them based solely on how he wants to think and feel. Then he gets shocked, angry or simply ignores when they fail to behave that way.

a certain amount of psychopaths to it. Guess we just crapped out on this one.

On Edit: On the positive side though, generally speaking, psychopaths have an above average intelligence. Demonstrable that doesn't apply here.

9. once again, ABEER and her entire family call from thier graves.
They are dead, but not silent-
What nationality were the soldiers who raped, murdered and set her on fire after murdering her mother, father and little sister???

The 'objective' was to rape Abeer- "Mission Accomplished"- I see a comparison. Our 'enemies' are simply human beings, as are we. We are not immune from doing very great evil, no matter how we would like to believe we are.

I hold you to accountable bush- for this and much more.
