If there is a shark georgie boy just jumped it
looking at the reporters today as they were asking their questions and all the while with fonzi dancing around getting belligerent and not answering a single damn question as it was asked. I seen in the eyes of the reporters the realization of the fact he really doesn't know what he is doing. Yes, he lost the press today and with that so goes his agenda. Its only a matter of time now before we'll be shed of him.

Let the party planning begin

1. I saw it. It was like a bad parody of himself.
But he won't lose the press as long as he's paying them off.

6. I don't think so, he has lost the press, maybe not their bosses
but when it comes right down to it they are the one that decide what they say as evidenced by the seeming spine they are showing now. the bosses didn't tell them to start asking tough questions with follow ups, they did. They, like you and I, in their everyday lives loves this country just as much as we do and are now admitting what they already knew, that the guy is off his rocker. imho

11. Someone said it was up on "You Tube." Crooks & Liars might have it
later. It's pretty dreadful to watch, though.

5. i didn't see it but i can tell you this
no voters who might change their mind were paying attention, and they'll never see it. perhaps it was the tipping point for a few 'tradional' republicans, but if they jump off the bush ship, it doesn't mean they'll abandon their house rep.

13. Well, even more important
The Bush wackos will support him whether they see his performance or not. They are brainwashed. No matter what he does, whenever they see him they see a golden aura.

7. Gods I hope you're right madokie
but I've seen the MSM give him too much of a pass even when he cracks up. John Q Public won't get to see the long version, just the cleverly edited and watered down one.

8. gawd...you would think so
but I am always let down by the Press and how they take his insults bending over and laugh at his stupid sadistic jokes.
His shoulders bobbing up and down with laughter and his heh, heh, heh while talking about Illegal Eavesdropping Program, more heh, heh, heh, cracking up literally, poking and jabbing his finger, pounding the podium. Certifiably f---king nuts.
The press should be looking at each other and scared shitless that what they just witnessed was insanity personified.
I know I'm more scared than ever.:scared:

9. There's a school of thought
that says journalists aren't the most stable people either. Just handier with the wordplay. My own J professor said at least we were all drunks or would learn to be.B-)

10. Ah but today they had a different tone than I have ever heard toward
the imposter before. bush* and his republican base are going to be the last to know it but he is history, history in the context of he will soon be gone. Whether or not they see this particular newsie or not the reporters themselves will forever view him differently, write about him with a different slant.

Anyways, welcome to DU, the first and best place for the latest breaking news.

15. Agreed.
He was seething, and the press, for the first time, didn't seem to care.

20. You can also watch it on C-SPAN's website:
Pres. Bush Press Conference from White House Rose Garden (9/15/2006) (it's under 'RECENT PROGRAMS')

http://www.c-span.org/homepage.asp?Cat=Current_Event&Code=Bush_Admin&ShowVidNum=18&Rot_Cat_CD=BA&Rot_HT=&Rot_WD=&ShowVidDays=365&ShowVidDesc=&ArchiveDays=30

(Take note of his 'answer' to the question asked at 10:30 minutes)

17. Question:
I'm almost afraid to ask, and I have some idea what the phrase "jump the shark" means, but could you explain it to me?

18. It basically means "pass the point of no return into irrelevancy"
It's from the old TV show "Happy Days." They kept it on the air far longer than they should have, and toward the end very few people still watched it.

To try to make the show exciting and watched again, the producers decided to take the whole gang to Hawaii. There Fonzie performed the stunt of jumping, on water skis, over a little fenced-off pond that supposedly had a man-eating shark in it.

This "death-defying" feat (authentic man-eating sharks are all pelagic and wouldn't take kindly to being fenced in for a cheap stunt) did not work; Happy Days was soon taken off the air.

And now you know The Rest Of The Story.

19. Thank you.
I've been wondering what that meant, too. Just started seeing in last few weeks. If the previous poster hadn't asked, I was going to.
