1. Gotta go with Stephanie Miller...
I hope someday to be on her list of future husbands. It's my dream -- my terrible, self-loathing dream.

3. Still Garrison Keilor.
I've never been entirely certain why, but PHC still gives me a solid two-hour happy, once a week.

16. I have to go with Garrison Keillor too.
For exactly the same reason. He really appeals to my Canadian sensibilities.

5. I can't wait until Al Franken is off the air...monotone man
Sirius left is not much better. Very dissapointed with satelite programming...about 100 fundie/RW channels and 1 progressive channel with not much content

10. laughing with Stephanie, learning with Thom
For the quality of information and depth of knowledge of history Thom Hartmann is the King of talk radio. He has informative and compelling discussions with people of diverse perspective and postitions; he is courteous to callers; he is never crude. Although other more strident talk show hosts may reflect my feelings and way of seeing the world, I feel they offend people who are not quite convinced.

15. Ray Taliaferro
You have to listen to him either in the depths of the night or via the archives on KGO which are there for 24 hours only.

Bernie Ward is next in line to Taliaferro. "The Lion of the Left" he is known as. :)

Just kidding.

I picked Thom Hartmann. Nobody is as eloquent, informative and interesting as him. And the fact that he's been picking up so many affiliates as of late shows that people are starting to feel the same way.

I mean, look what this guy does in the Seattle radio ratings:

Hartmann beats Limbaugh!

Been following him for over twenty years and watched him morph into the polished talk show host he is today. Quick with hard facts, too.

Brother Bernie, the Franciscan learned the art of debate from the Jesuits. Lookout!

24. Mike Malloy
He's my favorite. I like the way Mike calls out *Co and their enablers without apology, and I love Kathy's input, interjections, and her Pickles bits.

After that, Thom Hartmann and Rachel Maddow, then Randi and Sam Seder. Sam has really come a long way in the past couple of months and I expect he will continue to improve. Unfortunately, in his new time slot I won't be able to hear him anymore.

Marc Maron is sorely missed.

25. I was torn between Thom and Stephanie. They are different when
you think about it. I chose Thom. Stephanie is queen in her own unique kingdom. She and her group are very talented.
