oh boy, I can't wait, he's been so petulant and testy here lately, and his empirical demeanor gets harder and harder to hide.

10. Yes, notice it's former MILITARY MEN who are fighting this
Men who served, and one who was tortured in captivity. Bush and his chickenhawk neo-cons can't relate to this.

he'll be remembered as the president who fought tooth and nail for torturing people

18. Because to these perverts torture is fun and games
Bush probably wonders why anyone would object to "free torture" when he's having to pay Jeff Gannon for it.

13. Is this an actual press conference?
Or is he just going to stand in front of reporters to recite his talking points?

This would be a good time to announce the capture (or un-thawing of Osama) or perhaps the breaking of the spinach terrorist plot?

I think you mean 'imperial' rather than 'empirical', which applies to science (verifiable by experience or experiment). Shrub is not an empirical person, but he really digs on being imperial. :grr:

24. Tweety convinced every time * gives a speech, his ratings go up.

I tried putting my whole comment in the Subject line. Geez! Tweety said the other night that it appeared that every time Bush gave one of these pointless (my word, not Tweety's) speeches that the TV stations are obviously agreeing to air, that he "appears" to go up in the polls a couple of points. Tweety says that if Bush just keeps giving speech after speech that he could reach 50% approval by November. THEN, according to Tweety, the Republicans would keep both Houses of Congress-no sweat.

I would tend to think the more people see Bush talk, the more they would want a whole new country, but all they have to do is use Tweety's perceived notion that these senseless chatter sessions are a plus for Bush and the Republican party to skew the polls higher for Bush and as we all already know,(electronic voting) the fix is in.

I can't help but be pessimistic. Seeing polls saying voters prefer Democrats in Congress 50% to 41% ( sorry, can't remember what it was exactly ) does nothing to ease my mind. I try not to post my pessimism, but watching Rove and Bush in action..TERROR...SPEECH...TERROR...SPEECH.., I just can't hold it in.
