September 15, 2006 -- WELL, at least the Dixie Chicks have the Canadians on their side. After Tuesday's premiere of Barbara Koppel's documentary about the Chicks, "Shut Up and Sing" - which is about how their fans revolted after Natalie Maines bashed President Bush two years ago - Toronto Film Festival managing director Michelle Maheux said, "This country would never allow something like this to happen." While the Canadian crowd ate up the movie, conservatives were riled up again - specifically with lead singer Maines, who calls President Bush a "dumb " in the film. "What a fascist little bee-atch!" said one angry post on the FreeRepublic.com blog. Another called the group "the Dixie Sluts," and a third described Maines as a "classless little fat ass." The flick screens at the Woodstock Film Festival next month.

4. The Freepers were content to be the victims of Jeff Foxworthy's

routine, until 1994 when Newt Gingerich discovered that you could train them to cast a vote. Newt, of course, recognized his bullshit could not convince thinking, reasoning Americans. He tapped into the part of civilization that had all the advantages, but balked at sharing them with the rest of America. Mostly, the white, male vote. These are the guys who probably played some high school football and were surprised that when high school was over, everyone else in the graduating class moved on. I would guess that these Freepers are till telling football and drinking stories from 1962.

They don't give a damn that the vast majority of former General Officers support following the Geneva Conventions. *THESE PEOPLE* are first and foremost - Human Beings. They fail to see that the rest of the free world look at our desires to stamp out The Geneva Conventions is part of Our Slide towards a "Police State."

It freaks me out how they flatly dismiss the honorable former Combat Soldiers who KNOW that part of America's HONOR and INTEGRITY of the past is that despite what "our enemies do" we choose The Moral High Ground and honor the fact that we are signatories on the Geneva Conventions.

Just like they called them Reds, Commies, Gooks ... they are trying to categorize anyone they don't agree with (including Liberals) as TERRORISTS who they would not have to even consider as HUMAN. "These people" are not really human, therefore, we should be able to humiliate and torture them at will.

I'm beyond disgusted - this is not the America that my late beloved Father fought for in The Combat Engineers during WWII. He recently passed from a brain aneurysm and part of me is relieved that he doesn't have to see these chicken-hawks trashing our Beautiful Country's moral character that he so bravely defended. I remember him saying that The German Soldiers ran to be taken prisoner by The Americans because the Russians were "brutal thugs." If these RW chicken-hawks calling into Washington Journal get their way then The World Community will consider *OUR COUNTRY* brutal thugs and STATE SPONSORED TERRORISTS.

Whenever I hear any of these brainless a**holes spouting that crap, I just about lose it thinking about how much my late Father sacrificied during WWII fighting facism and even more so when I begin to think about the hell my oldest brother went through in Vietnam in 1967 and 1968. My brother died in April 2003 at the age of 56 from colon cancer that my sister-in-law is convinced, as my sister and myself are, was caused by his exposure to Agent Orange.

It absolutely infuriates me and at times, it reduces me to tears. I am so glad that my father and brother didn't live to see what went on yesterday on Capitol Hill when Commander Bunnypants went to plead his case about ignoring the tenets of the Geneva Convention. I know they are both literally "rolling in their graves" over the state of our beloved country and especially the complete and total immorality of the present Adminstration.

May God forgive them, because I know I can't.

There's a website dedicated to The Dixie Chicks called Chicks Rock! Chicks Rule!. Great website.

There's a video of the Chicks on the Howard Stern show. Also there's a press conference type video there of the Dixie Chicks being talked to about their upcoming documentary.

Also somebody on here posted about some asshole who worked for clear channel in mid-land Texas and he posts on freeperland. He sounds like the type of asshole freeper who could also been involved in the bs from clear channel in 2003.

If you get to watch the interviews post what you think about it.
